The Pieterpad is the best-known long-distance walking route in the Netherlands. The route runs from north to south, consists of 26 stages and is 485 km long in total. The trail takes you from Pieterburen on the Groningen Wadden Sea coast to the Sint-Pietersberg in Limburg. You follow the white-and-red markings through several provinces, namely Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Gelderland, Brabant and Limburg. Discover a wide variety of landscapes and diverse natural scenery as you walk.
We offer Pieterpad trips in various formats:
Pieterpad 'All the way': All stages in succession; rest days can, of course, be added.
Pieterpad in 2 stages: Here, you walk half of the Pieterpad and can save the other half for next time.
Pieterpad in 4 stages: Also known as ‘from station to station’. On these trips, the Pieterpad is divided into four sections, and you start and finish at a town with a railway station.
Pieterpad in 6 stages: Would you prefer a week-long walk? Then you can split the Pieterpad into six sections.
